Alright, so, I’ve been itching to get my hands on MLB The Show 24 for my PS4. I’m a huge baseball fan, and this game has been on my radar for a while now. First thing I did was jump onto the PlayStation Store to check out the damage.
Turns out, there are a few different versions. There was the standard edition, which is what I was mainly looking for. There was also an MVP Edition which had the game for both PS4 and PS5. Then I saw a Negro Leagues Edition and a Digital Deluxe Edition. Too many choices, you know? I just wanted to play some ball!
I did a little digging around, and man, the prices were all over the place. I saw some places listing it for like $64.99, which felt a bit steep for me, honestly. Other places, like one of the stores I usually shop from, had it at $9.99, which was a lot more appealing. I think they were having a sale or something. I saw another spot advertising it for $38.94, which wasn’t bad, but I really wanted to score the best deal possible.
- Checked the PlayStation Store first.
- Compared prices across a few different retailers.
- Found a range from $9.99 all the way up to $64.99.
I kept on hunting, reading some forums, and checking out what other gamers were saying. A lot of people were talking about the different editions and what they offered, but to be frank, I just wanted the base game. The game is supposed to be available on March 19, with some kind of early access on March 15, which is cool.
After a while, I ended up finding it on sale for that $9.99 price! I was pretty happy about that. I snatched it up right away, and now I’m just waiting for it to be released. I’m really looking forward to diving in and playing some games.
My Game Plan
- Wait for the release date (March 19, or maybe March 15 with early access).
- Finally play MLB The Show 24!
Honestly, the whole price-checking process was a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m glad I stuck with it and found a good deal. Can’t wait to hit some home runs!
