So, I’ve been playing this mobile game, Monopoly GO, and there’s this event happening right now called “Lucha Libre Loot”. It kicked off on May 7th at 11 AM ET and it’s gonna run until the same time on May 9th. Basically, it’s a 48-hour thing where you can snag a bunch of cool stuff like dice, stickers, and in-game cash.
I jumped in as soon as it started, ’cause who doesn’t love free stuff, right? The whole point of these events is to hit certain milestones, and each one gives you a different reward. It’s a pretty sweet deal if you’re trying to stock up on dice rolls, especially.
Here’s how I went about it. First, I just started playing the game like normal, rolling dice, landing on different squares, the usual Monopoly stuff. But I was paying extra attention to the event tasks. They usually involve things like landing on specific types of squares or collecting a certain amount of money.
- Day 1: I spent a good chunk of the day just grinding it out. I was landing on railroads a lot, which was great because that’s one of the event requirements. I also made sure to complete all my daily tasks, ’cause those give you extra dice and stuff too.
- Day 2: This was more of the same, but I was getting closer to some of the bigger milestones. I noticed that if you time your rolls right, you can kinda predict where you’re gonna land, which is super helpful. By the end of the second day, I had already racked up a good amount of dice rolls and a few new sticker packs. I could have played smarter and get more, but overall I am happy with what I got.
I also tried to complete some Community Chest mini-games with friends. They are hard, but some of the rewards are great.
Anyway, by the time the event wrapped up, I had a decent haul. It’s not gonna make me a Monopoly GO millionaire or anything, but it’s definitely a nice boost. If you’re playing the game, I’d definitely recommend hopping into these events whenever they pop up. It’s a fun way to get some extra goodies and a good way to spend the afternoon.
What I learned
Oh, and one more thing I figured out – there are these websites that track all the rewards and milestones for each event. They can be pretty handy if you’re trying to plan out your strategy. But I simply play the game for fun, not planning to spend any money on it.
That’s it, just wanted to share my little Monopoly GO adventure. It is a fun game, you should try it. The event is over, but there will be new events for sure.
