Okay, so yesterday I was messing around in the Crucible, just trying to get better and have some fun, you know? And I really wanted to get my hands on the Riptide fusion rifle. I heard it’s pretty cool, so I dove into some Crucible Playlists.
I played a bunch of matches, trying out different modes, not really paying attention to what was dropping. Just grinding, mostly.
- Played Control.
- Tried out some Clash.
- Even did some Rumble matches.
I’m not the best Crucible player, to be honest. It was tough but I kept pushing.
After a while, I started noticing these engrams dropping. I was like, “Cool, more loot.” I didn’t expect much, figured it would be the usual stuff. So I kept playing.
Then, bam! I got an engram that turned out to be the Riptide. I was pretty stoked! It was a random drop, so I guess I just got lucky. I heard you can also focus on it with the vendors, but I didn’t even need to do that. I couldn’t check out the stats right away because I was in the middle of a match, but I was pumped.
Later, I finally got to check out the perks on the Riptide. It had some pretty cool perks, but it was a randomized roll, so you know it is not the god roll. It was exciting to see what I got, though. I started using it in the next few matches, and it felt pretty good. I mean, it’s a fusion rifle, so it’s all about charging it up and getting the timing right. I’m still getting used to it, but it definitely has potential.
So, yeah, that’s how I got my Riptide. Just good old-fashioned grinding in the Crucible. No fancy strategies or anything, just playing the game and getting lucky. If you’re trying to get one, just keep playing those Crucible matches, and who knows, you might get lucky like me. Or you can try your luck with the vendors, I guess. That’s my story.
