Okay, so, I wanted to change a player’s position in MLB The Show 24. It’s not as straightforward as you might think, but I figured it out. Here’s what I did.
First, I had this player, let’s call him Player A, and I wanted to make him a Catcher. You can’t just directly change the position. So, what you gotta do is create a whole new ballplayer. Let’s call this new guy Player B.
Creating a New Ballplayer
- I started a new career with Player B.
- Made him a Catcher right from the start.
Now, I know there are manuals out there for different platforms like PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series XS, both in English and Spanish. But honestly, I didn’t bother with them. I just dove right in and did my own thing.
Basically, you can’t switch it up on your current player, gotta start fresh. After creating this new Catcher, Player B, then I continued as normal.
It took a bit of time, and it’s a little bit round-about way, but hey, it worked! Now I have my Catcher, and that’s all that matters. Hope this helps anyone else trying to do the same thing. It’s a bit of a workaround, but it gets the job done. Game on!
