Alright, so, today I was feeling nosy and wanted to dig into something juicy. I’ve always been kind of fascinated by tennis players and their lives off the court. So I started looking into Stan Wawrinka, you know, the Swiss tennis guy with the killer backhand? Turns out, his love life is almost as interesting as his matches.
First off, I started by trying to find out who he was dating right now. I remembered hearing something about him and another tennis player, Donna Vekic, a while back. After searching around, I found out they were together for about four years. That’s a pretty long time, especially in the tennis world where everyone’s always traveling.
I dug a bit deeper and found out they split up back in 2019. It got me thinking, who’s he with now?
- I started by looking at recent news about Wawrinka.
- I found an article mentioning he got a sweet surprise from his girlfriend after a match against Andy Murray.
- But it didn’t mention her name! That got me even more curious.
So then I started looking at recent articles that mentioned his rank. I found out that on February 27th, Wawrinka, ranked number 17, lost to Grigor Dimitrov. Around the same time, another player, Garbine Muguruza, ranked number 16, lost to Ashleigh Barty.
After I found out the information about the tennis community celebrated his 39 years old, I kept digging. I decided to look up Muguruza and Wawrinka separately and see if there was any connection.
Then I started to see these little hints popping up online. A few articles were talking about Wawrinka’s personal life, but they were all pretty vague. No names, just “girlfriend.”
Finally, I realized that these two were connected. I read about that the last match played by Muguruza is on the same day with Wawrinka’s. This made me realized that the girlfriend mentioned in the surprise article is Muguruza. It seemed like these two were an item!
It’s kind of cool to see how these things unfold, right? You start with one little question, and before you know it, you’ve unraveled a whole story. I guess love and tennis make quite the match after all. It also made me realize how much I enjoy these little research projects. Maybe I’ll do another one of these soon!
