Okay, so I’ve been getting really into WWE lately, and SmackDown in particular. It’s got everything: drama, action, crazy storylines. I’ve become a bit of an armchair expert, if I do say so myself, and I’ve started making predictions for each episode. It’s turned into a fun little hobby, and I thought I’d share my process and see how I did this week.
First, I started to look at the current storylines. Who’s feuding with whom? What are the big matches coming up? You gotta get a feel for the narrative they’re building. Like, right now, there’s this whole thing with The Bloodline, and it’s been super intense. So, I started to read some stuff online, news articles, fan forums, just to get a sense of what people are expecting.
Then, I try to think like a WWE writer. They’re always trying to swerve us, you know? Keep us guessing. So I started asking myself, what would be the most surprising outcome? What would really shake things up? I started to jot down some notes, just random ideas, like, “What if this underdog wins?” or “What if there’s a betrayal here?”
My Prediction Process
- Follow the Storylines: Paid attention to the ongoing feuds and upcoming matches, especially the stuff with The Bloodline.
- Gather Intel: Read up on fan theories and news to see what the general consensus was.
- Think Like a Writer: Tried to anticipate surprises and unexpected twists. Brainstormed some “what if” scenarios.
- Make My Picks: Based on all of that, I made my predictions for each match and segment.
So, based on all of this, I made my predictions. I figured out who I thought would win each match, and even tried to guess how. Pinfall? Submission? DQ? It’s all part of the fun.
Then came the actual show. I watched it live, and boy, was it a rollercoaster! Some of my predictions were spot on. I totally called that one upset victory! But then there were other moments where I was completely off. That main event? Didn’t see that coming at all.
After the show, I went back to my notes and started to analyze where I went right and where I went wrong. I compared my predictions to the actual results and tried to figure out the reasoning behind the booking decisions. I make mistakes all the time, you know?
This whole prediction thing, it’s not just about being right. It’s about engaging with the show on a deeper level. It makes me appreciate the storytelling, the athleticism, and even the crazy twists and turns. And hey, even when I’m wrong, it’s still fun. Plus, I feel like I learn something new each time, which makes me even more excited for the next episode.
