So, I stumbled upon this game called “Risk of Rain Returns” the other day. It’s a remake of the classic “Risk of Rain,” and one thing that caught my eye was the “artifacts” system. These things are like game modifiers, you know? They can totally change how you play the game.
Find the location of the Artifacts
First, I had to figure out how to even get these artifacts. Turns out, you gotta unlock them. Each artifact is hidden somewhere in specific levels. I spent a good chunk of time just exploring, trying to find these hidden spots. Some were pretty obvious, but others, man, they were tucked away in some sneaky corners. I remember spending like an hour just searching the Desolate Forest level for the “Artifact of Kin” before I finally found the damn thing.
Start to try different Artifacts
Once I had a few of these artifacts unlocked, I started messing around with them. The “Artifact of Command” was a game-changer. It lets you pick your items instead of getting them randomly. That made things so much easier. I could actually plan out my build, you know? Go for specific items that worked well together. This made me feel so powerful!
But then there were these other artifacts that made things way harder. Like the “Artifact of Glass.” This thing gives you a massive damage boost, but it also makes you super fragile. One hit and you’re basically toast. It was intense. I had to play so carefully, dodging everything. It felt like a completely different game. I died so much, man. I spent most time in this.
Finally, I start to understand how to use it!
I also tried combining artifacts. Some combos were insane. Like, I used the “Artifact of Spite” with the “Artifact of Glass” once. Enemies exploded on death, and I was doing crazy damage, but it was also super risky. One wrong move and boom, I was done. It was a wild ride.I think it is the most exciting part.
Here’s a quick rundown of some artifacts I played with:
- Artifact of Command: Pick your items. Super helpful for trying out different builds.
- Artifact of Glass: 500% damage, but only 10% health. High risk, high reward.
- Artifact of Kin: Only one type of enemy per stage. Can be easier or harder depending on the enemy.
- Artifact of Spite: Enemies explode on death. Fun but dangerous.
Honestly, these artifacts really add a lot of replay value to “Risk of Rain Returns.” I spent hours just trying out different combinations and seeing how they changed the game. I highly recommend checking them out. But be warned, they can be a real challenge!
