Okay, so, I was trying to figure out when LSU snagged the national championship. I started by looking up recent stuff, like the 2025 College Football Playoffs, but that wasn’t it.
I saw that the 2025 game was going to be on January 20th, with Ohio State playing Notre Dame. That definitely didn’t ring any bells for me since I was focused on LSU.
Then I stumbled upon some information about the 2024 season, and that it started in Dublin, Ireland. Pretty cool, but still not what I needed. There was also this whole schedule for the playoffs, including the Sugar Bowl, Rose Bowl, and Peach Bowl, but I quickly realized I was going down the wrong rabbit hole.
I even got distracted by the March Madness 2025 schedule, can you believe it? Not what I was after at all. I just wanted to know about LSU’s win!
I was starting to feel like I was never going to figure this out, just finding all this random stuff. I mean, I found a flashcard about modifying user profiles, some basic laws enacted by the Knesset in Israel, and even something about the lights going out at a Sainsbury’s in Pontypridd in November. How did that even relate? Seriously, I was getting off track big time.
I needed to refine my search.
Finally, I searched for something more specific, and I found it! It turns out that Alabama beat LSU 21-0 on January 9, 2012, to win the 2011 National Championship. Apparently, it was a rematch from an earlier game that November.
So there you have it. It took a bit of digging, and I definitely got sidetracked a few times, but I eventually found the answer. It was way back in 2011 when Alabama won against LSU in the championship.
- The date was January 9, 2012.
- The score was Alabama 21, LSU 0.
- It was the 2011 National Championship.
Man, I hope I don’t have to go through all that again next time. But hey, at least now I know!
