Okay, so, I gotta tell y’all about this Cade Beloso fella. I was watching some baseball the other day, and this guy, he’s a big dude, playing for LSU. I started digging into this guy cause he really can hit a ball, you know?
First thing I did was just type his name into a search engine, Cade Beloso. Loads of stuff came up, mostly about him playing first base for the LSU Tigers. He’s a lefty, which is kinda cool. And get this, he was born in New Orleans, which explains the smooth swing, maybe!
- Started Searching: Just typed his name in and saw he plays for LSU.
- Got the Basics: He’s a first baseman, left-handed, and from New Orleans.
Then I started looking into his stats. This Beloso guy, he’s been playing for LSU for a while, from like 2019 to 2023, I found his player page that have all his information, this page lists his MLB, Minor League, College and other stats, also with some personal details. I guess he had an ACL tear some time ago, but he came back strong. He was even in the College World Series in 2023, which is a big deal in college baseball. Made the All-Tournament Team, too! That means he was one of the best players in the whole thing, that ninth inning on April 7 was a key game I think. He really showed his talent that time!
- Checked His Stats: Played for LSU 2019-2023.
- Found Out About Injury: Had an ACL tear but recovered.
- College World Series: Played in 2023 and made the All-Tournament Team!
Now, about this MLB draft thing. Seems like everyone’s talking about it. From what I gathered, some people are saying Beloso might be a day-three pick. Some site even listed him as a DH/1B kind of guy, and his teammate Dylan Crews might even be the top pick in the whole draft! I guess that tells you something about how good the LSU team is. He was assigned to LSU on March 1, 2022, and his data was updated on February 21, 2022, so it’s not long ago.
- MLB Draft Talk: People are saying he might be a day-three pick.
- Teammate’s a Big Deal: Dylan Crews, also from LSU, could be the number one pick.
So, I kept reading, and I guess this Beloso guy is a fan favorite, which doesn’t surprise me. He seems like a solid player, and he’s got that comeback story from the injury. I even saw some people talking about how this guy can really swing the bat. I mean, from what I saw, they’re not wrong!
What I’ve Learned
This whole deep dive into Cade Beloso was pretty fun. I started not knowing much about him, and now I feel like I’ve got a pretty good idea of who he is as a player. He’s a big, strong first baseman from LSU, a lefty, overcame an injury, and is a solid hitter. And now, he’s potentially gonna be in the MLB draft! It’s pretty cool to see how these guys’ careers unfold.
I’ll probably keep an eye on him, see where he ends up in the draft. Maybe I’ll even catch a game if he makes it to the big leagues. Anyway, that’s my little adventure into the world of Cade Beloso. Hope y’all found it interesting!
