Okay, so, last weekend I got super into watching tennis, specifically the match between Taylor Fritz and Max Purcell. I gotta say, I don’t usually get this hooked on sports, but this one was a nail-biter!
It all started when I was flipping through channels, trying to find something to watch. I stumbled upon this tennis match, and the energy was just insane. I knew a little bit about Taylor Fritz, mostly from seeing his photos, but Max Purcell was a new name for me.
- First Set:
- I started watching when the first set was already underway. The pace was incredibly fast.
- Fritz, with his powerful serves, seemed to have the upper hand, I think.
- But Purcell was not giving up that easy, he was returning some crazy shots!
I found myself shouting at the TV like crazy, rooting for both but maybe, just maybe, a little more for Fritz. I mean, the guy is good.
- Second Set:
- The second set started and I was really into the game.
- Purcell, this guy, he was like a machine. He was everywhere on the court.
- Fritz started making a few mistakes, I think the pressure got to him.
I was on the edge of my seat, seriously. I even started looking up stuff on the internet about tennis rules. I found some quizzes about Taylor Swift, which, obviously, I had to take. Turns out I’m a real Swiftie! Also, I learned a little bit about p-waves and s-waves, whatever that is, I guess it is related to geology.
- Third Set:
- This is it, the final set! Both players were exhausted, but they kept going.
- There were some incredible rallies, I mean, some of those shots were just insane!
- I was literally biting my nails, couldn’t take my eyes off the screen.
The End
In the end, Fritz won the match. It was such a relief, but also, I felt a bit bad for Purcell. Both of them played so well. I spent the rest of the day reading about tennis, checking out the latest news, even looking at some hockey scores, don’t ask me why, sports fever, I guess. I even learned a bit about economics, well, kinda. I mean, quantities, prices, gains from trade, you know, that stuff. Oh, and I also read a little bit about biology, cells, and ecosystems, it was a very educational day! It is just like when you learn Excel data validation rules, it is about data.
Anyway, this match got me thinking about the future of sports and education, social, technology and stuff like this. But, honestly, I just wanted to share how much fun I had watching this match. It was an unexpected adventure, and I can’t wait to watch more tennis in the future! Maybe I’ll even become a pro one day, who knows!
