Okay, here is my sharing about the Fragpunk playtest experience:
So, I heard about this new game called Fragpunk, which is like, a hero shooter thing, 5v5. It sounded pretty cool, and I saw there was a playtest going on. I figured, why not give it a shot? Getting in was actually easier than I thought.
I found out that the Closed Beta Test was happening on October 10, 2024. Apparently, if you were in the Closed Alpha Test back in June on Steam, you were automatically in for this one. Lucky for those guys, I wasn’t a part of it. But, since I had to get in the Beta, I tried my way.
Signing up was a breeze. I just went to the game’s page on Steam and also on Xbox Series XS since it said it’s available for both PC and Xbox, and there was a big button to request access. Clicked that, filled out a small form, and boom, I was in the waiting list.

They said the playtest is available for folks in North America, Europe, Latin America, and Japan. I happened to be in one of those regions, so that was another plus. Also, they were gonna let people who got selected preload the game on October 8, which is super convenient.
I waited for a bit, and guess what? I got selected! I was pretty stoked. Preloaded the game, no problem. When the day came, I jumped right in.
The game itself? Pretty fun, I gotta say. It’s fast-paced, and the hero abilities add a cool twist to the usual shooter gameplay. Played a bunch of matches, tried out different heroes, and yeah, it was a good time. I definitely see the potential in this one.

So yeah, that was my experience with the Fragpunk playtest. If you get a chance to try it out, I’d say go for it. It’s a fun ride, and it’s always cool to get a sneak peek at these games before they’re fully out.
