I’ve always been a bit on the heavier side, and I kinda just accepted it. But, you know, things started to change. I noticed I was getting tired all the time, and my clothes weren’t fitting right. That’s when I decided, “Okay, it’s time to do something about this.” I wanted to hit that dream weight I’d always imagined.
So, I started small. No crazy diets or anything. First thing I did was join a gym.
Join a Gym
- I made a promise to myself to go three times a week, no excuses.
- It was tough at first, but I just kept at it.
- I started with some simple cardio and weightlifting, nothing too intense.
But I knew just hitting the gym wasn’t enough. I needed to change my lifestyle, too. That’s when I came up with another idea.
Walk with a Coworker
- I asked one of my coworkers if she wanted to take a walk during lunch.
- We aimed for about 15 minutes every day.
- It was a nice way to get some fresh air and get my body moving.
These small steps started to make a big difference. I was feeling better, and my clothes were starting to loosen up a bit. It wasn’t just about losing weight anymore. It was about feeling good, having more energy, and just being healthier overall.
Of course, it wasn’t always easy. There were days when I didn’t feel like going to the gym or taking that walk. But I kept reminding myself why I started. It was about making simple changes that I could stick with, changes that would help me reach my goal and make me feel like a better version of myself.
Slowly but surely, the weight started coming off. It wasn’t a drastic change overnight, but it was happening. And you know what? I was actually enjoying the process. I was learning new things about my body and what it needed.
It’s been a journey, that’s for sure. But I’m getting there, step by step. I’m not at my dream weight just yet, but I’m closer than I’ve ever been. And that’s a pretty amazing feeling. I’m just gonna keep doing what I’m doing, one day at a time. And I know that one day, I’ll finally get there, feeling healthier and happier than ever before. It’s all about those small changes that add up over time, you know?
