Okay, so, I’ve been a wrestling fanatic for as long as I can remember. I mean, I grew up watching this stuff. And let me tell you, keeping up with all the wrestlers coming and going in WWE is like a freaking full-time job itself. Today, I’m gonna talk about something they call “WWE releases in 2024.”

Now, I ain’t no expert on all the technical terms and whatnot, but here’s the deal as I understand it. It seems like every year, some of these wrestlers get let go, cut from the team, you know? They call it “released.”
So, I started digging into this, just like I always do. I went through a bunch of websites, forums, and all that jazz. It’s a mess, honestly. Everyone’s got their own list, and it’s hard to keep track of who’s coming and who’s going. I found out that they started this cutting thing on a Friday, which is not even a good thing to hear about, but ok.
What I did was, I grabbed a pen and my old notebook, and I started jotting down names. Every time I saw a name mentioned as “released,” I wrote it down. Then I cross-referenced a few different sources to make sure I wasn’t just seeing things.
- Gable Steveson: I saw this name pop up a few times. Apparently, he was one of the folks who got released.
I also saw some other names, but those were wrestlers who left on their own, not because they were cut. It’s all mixed up, and to be honest, I didn’t bother listing those out. You know how it goes, it’s not easy keeping up with all this stuff, and you can easily get mixed up with the wrong information, so I only focused on those who were cut.
Why Does This Happen?
From what I gather, there are a bunch of reasons why WWE does this. Sometimes they change their minds about storylines, or maybe the wrestlers themselves want to move on. It’s a whole mix of things. They said it’s a change in “creative direction” but what the hell does that mean? Maybe some people just weren’t fitting in anymore, or they are costing them too much money.
It’s tough, you know? You get attached to these wrestlers, and then boom, they’re gone. But hey, that’s the business, I guess. It’s always changing, and you gotta roll with the punches, just like those guys in the ring.
Anyway, I just wanted to share my little investigation with y’all. It’s not much, but it’s my way of keeping up with the crazy world of wrestling. And I will keep on doing this because I love this stuff, even if it’s confusing sometimes.
