Alright, so, the other day I was trying to get my brain moving with one of those crossword puzzles, you know, the kind your grandpa probably does with his morning coffee. Honestly, this whole experience was kind of a wild ride. I learned that crossword puzzles can be way harder than they look, that there’s a whole community of people online who are super into them, and that baseball has a lot of weird stats that I don’t understand. I might just stick to easier puzzles from now on.
But at least now if I ever see “pitching stats” again, I know that “ERA” is a pretty safe bet.
