Let me tell you about this “WITB Ian Poulter” thing I messed around with the other day. So, I’ve been seeing this hashtag all over golf forums and I got curious. Turns out, it’s about what’s in the bag, as in, what golf clubs this pro, Ian Poulter, is using. I thought, “Hey, I can get into that.”
First, I dug around online to see what people were saying. Found a few posts, but nothing really comprehensive. So, I decided to do it myself. I figured, why not try to figure out exactly what clubs this guy uses and maybe learn something along the way?
I started by making a list of all the clubs a golfer normally has. You know, driver, woods, irons, wedges, putter. Then, I went hunting for recent pictures or videos of Ian Poulter on the course.
- I scoured the internet for any recent photos of him.
- I paused videos to see if I could get a good look at his clubs.
- I even checked out some interviews he did to see if he mentioned anything.
Honestly, it was way more work than I thought it would be! It’s not like these pros are just listing their gear on their websites. You gotta be a real detective to figure this stuff out.
The Investigation
I spent hours piecing together clues. For example, I’d see a blurry picture of his driver and then try to match it up with what different brands offer. Then I would compare some photos with the clubs. I repeated this process for other clubs. It was tedious, but kinda fun in a weird way.
After all that digging, I finally put together a pretty good list of what I think Ian Poulter is using. I can’t say it’s 100% accurate, but I’m pretty confident in my research. I organized my findings into a clear format.
So, that’s my “WITB Ian Poulter” adventure. It was a lot of work, but I learned a ton about golf clubs and how to do some serious online sleuthing. Might try it again with another golfer sometime!
