Okay, so, today I wanna talk about something I’ve been messing around with, something a bit different – it’s related to Birdman, the NBA player. You know, Chris Andersen, the guy with all those crazy tattoos and that wild mohawk back in the day.
I got this idea in my head, right? I wanted to see if I could somehow track down all his games, like, every single one he played in the NBA. Seemed like a cool little project. So, first thing I did was hit up the usual spots – you know, like, the big sports websites and basketball reference pages.
I started digging through game logs, season by season. It was a bit of a grind, honestly. Lots of clicking, lots of scrolling. I made a simple list, noting down the date, the opponent, and the final score for each game he played.
- Started with his rookie season, all the way back in 2001 with the Denver Nuggets.
- Then followed him to the New Orleans Hornets.
- Back to Denver.
- Then that championship run with the Miami Heat.
- A short stint with the Memphis Grizzlies.
- And finally, his last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Man, it took forever to find all the games one by one. I tried to find some website or tool that already had this kind of stuff ready, but no luck. It’s like no one cared about Birdman’s whole career game by game!
So, I ended up doing this manually, it took me a good few days. After I got all the games and put them into a simple list. Finally, I had this big list of every NBA game Birdman ever played in. It felt pretty good to finally have it all in one place.
Honestly, it wasn’t some big, fancy project or anything. No crazy stats or deep analysis. But it was just something I was curious about, and I wanted to see if I could do it.
What I learned
It’s kinda cool to look back at a player’s whole career like this, game by game. You see the ups and downs, the different teams, the whole journey. And you know what? Birdman played a lot more games than I thought he did! It just goes to show, even for a role player like him, there’s a lot of history there if you’re willing to dig for it.
Anyway, I know it’s not super exciting. But I just wanted to share it. Sometimes it’s fun to just get obsessed with these random little projects, you know?
