Okay, so I was watching the Super Bowl the other day, and it got me thinking – who’s the oldest quarterback to ever win the big game? I mean, these guys are getting up there in age, but some of them are still playing at the top of their game. So, I decided to do some digging and find out.

First, I grabbed my laptop and opened up my browser. I typed in “oldest Super Bowl winning quarterback” into the search bar and hit enter. A bunch of articles popped up, and I started clicking through them.
Here’s What I Found
- The first few articles all said the same thing – it’s Tom Brady. No surprise there, right?
- Apparently, he won Super Bowl LV with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021 when he was 43 years old. 43! Can you believe it?
I kept reading. Some articles listed other older quarterbacks who had won, like Peyton Manning, who won Super Bowl 50 at age 39. John Elway was also up there, winning Super Bowl XXXIII at 38.
So, I made a little list of these guys in my notebook, just to keep track. It was pretty interesting to see how long some of these quarterbacks were able to play at a high level. I mean, football is a tough sport, and it takes a toll on your body.
After I had my list, I double-checked a few more sources, just to make sure I had the right information. Everything seemed to be lining up – Tom Brady really was the oldest to win a Super Bowl. It’s pretty amazing when you think about it.
This little research project took me about, I don’t know, maybe 30 minutes or so. It wasn’t anything too complicated, but it was fun to learn something new. And hey, now I’ve got a fun fact to share with my buddies the next time we’re watching football.
I closed my laptop. It was a good time to finish my research.
Oh well, that’s my story about finding out about the oldest Super Bowl winning QB. Hope you enjoyed it!
