Okay, so, I saw this hairstyle on Paige Lorenze, like, a while back, and I’ve been obsessed ever since. It’s this super cute claw clip updo thing that just looks so effortless and chic. I had to try it myself, you know? So, here’s how it went down.
First, I brushed my hair out, make sure there were no knots. I think it’s better if your hair is not just washed, like, day-old hair has a bit more grip, which helps with this style. But my hair is freshly washed, so I sprayed some dry shampoo for texture. This helps to give it some volume and hold, so the claw clip doesn’t just slide right out.
Next, I gathered all my hair like I was gonna make a low ponytail. But instead of tying it, I started twisting it upwards. I kept twisting until all my hair was in a long, kinda rope-like thing going up the back of my head.
Then comes the tricky part. I folded the twisted hair in half, bringing the ends up towards the top of my head. And that’s where the claw clip comes in. I opened the clip and secured it over the folded part of the twist, making sure it grabbed a good chunk of hair on both sides. It took me a couple of tries to get it right, not gonna lie. The first time, it felt kinda loose, and the second time, I didn’t get all my hair in. But finally, the third time, it’s done.
- Brush hair and spray dry shampoo.
- Twist hair upwards.
- Fold the twist and clip it.
Once the clip was in, I just pulled out a few pieces of hair around my face to give it that soft, messy look that Paige does so well. And honestly, I was pretty impressed with myself! It looked really good, and it was so easy. It’s such a simple way to put your hair up, but it looks way more stylish than a regular ponytail or bun.
I wore it out to grab coffee with my friends, and they were all asking me how I did it. It’s definitely going to be my go-to hairstyle from now on. It’s perfect for those days when you want to look put together but don’t want to spend a ton of time on your hair. Plus, it keeps your hair out of your face, which is always a bonus, especially in the summer.
So, yeah, that’s my attempt at the Paige Lorenze claw clip hairstyle. It’s a winner in my book! I felt so great when I finally figured it out.
