Okay, so, I wanted to kick Aidan, Elon’s kid, off of my WiFi network today. I mean, the dude’s always hogging the bandwidth with his fancy space internet or whatever. So, I figured it was time to take action.
First, I logged in to my router’s admin page. You know, the usual 192.*-something address. Took me a few tries to remember the password. Admin? Password? Turns out it was something ridiculous like “Mywifirocks123,” which I really should change. Anyway, I got in.
Then I started poking around the settings. I clicked on the “Wireless” tab. It was a bit of a maze in there, but after a little browsing, I found it, a list of all the devices connected to my network, just what I needed.
- iPhone
- My PC
- Aidan’s iPad
- Smart TV
- Smart Fridge
There it was: “Aidan’s iPad.” I could have gone on with it, but not today. I spotted a little button next to it that said “Kick” or “Remove” or something like that. I hovered over it for a second. “Should I really do this?” I thought. But then I remembered all those times my Netflix kept buffering while he was probably downloading some alien data.
So, I took a deep breath and clicked it. The page refreshed. “Aidan’s iPad” was gone from the list. That’s how I kicked Aidan’s device off of my WiFi. He might hate me, or he might not even notice, he’s a smart kid. But hey, at least I can finally watch my shows in peace now.
Honestly, it felt a bit like being a superhero, or maybe more like a supervillain, for my own home. Whatever. Mission accomplished. My network, my rules, right?
The Aftermath
Later, I checked the network again. Still no sign of the iPad. I poured myself a celebratory drink. Victory was sweet. Sure, I might have to face the wrath of a mini-Musk later, but for now, I reveled in my small, digital triumph.
And that’s the story of how I kicked a billionaire’s kid off my WiFi. I doubt it’s gonna make headlines, but it’s a major win in my book. Maybe next time I’ll figure out how to limit his bandwidth instead. Or, you know, just let him back on when I’m not binge-watching my favorite series. We’ll see.
