Alright, so I’ve been meaning to dive into the filmography of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin for a while now. You know, the wrestler turned actor? Yeah, that guy. I finally got around to it this past weekend, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride.
First off, I did a little digging online to see what movies he’s been in. Turns out, there’s a decent list! I was surprised he has done a lot of roles. I decided to start with the ones that seemed the most popular.
The Marathon Begins
I kicked things off with “The Condemned”. I vaguely remembered hearing about this one back in the day. I grabbed some snacks, got comfortable on the couch, and hit play. It was a pretty cool movie.
- The Condemned (2007): This was a solid action flick. Lots of fighting, explosions, and your typical tough-guy stuff. Steve Austin plays a prisoner who’s forced to fight to the death on some remote island. It’s as over-the-top as it sounds, but in a good way. I enjoyed it.
Next up, I watched “The Expendables”. I mean, who hasn’t seen this one, right? It was cool to see Austin alongside all those other action stars. He plays a henchman, so he doesn’t have a huge role, but it was still fun to see him in there.
- The Expendables (2010): A classic. Austin’s role is small, but it’s still cool to see him in such a big movie. The fight scene between him and Stallone was pretty epic.
After that, I went for “Damage”. This one was a bit different. It’s more of a drama, with some fighting thrown in. Austin plays a guy who gets involved in underground fighting to help pay for someone’s medical bills. It was a little rough around the edges, but not bad.
- Damage (2009): A bit more serious than the others, but still had some good action sequences. Austin’s acting was… well, it was there. Let’s just say he’s better at throwing punches than delivering lines.
Then, I watched “Hunt to Kill”. Honestly, this one was kind of a blur. It’s your standard action movie where Austin plays a border patrol agent who has to protect his daughter from some bad guys. There was a lot of running around in the woods, shooting, and not much else.
- Hunt to Kill (2010): Pretty forgettable, to be honest. If you’re a die-hard Steve Austin fan, you might enjoy it. Otherwise, you’re not missing much.
Finally, I ended with “The Package”. This one was another action movie, but with a bit more of a plot. Austin plays a courier who has to deliver a mysterious package while being chased by all sorts of people. It was decent enough.
- The Package (2013): A standard action movie, but with a little more going on plot-wise. It kept me entertained, which is all I really ask for from these kinds of movies.
The Verdict
So, after watching a bunch of Steve Austin movies, what’s the verdict? Well, if you’re looking for some mindless action, then you’ll probably enjoy them. Don’t expect Oscar-worthy performances or anything, but they’re fun in their own way. I’d say “The Condemned” and “The Expendables” were my favorites of the bunch. If you’re a fan of Stone Cold, then definitely check them out. If not, well, there are probably better ways to spend your time.
I will keep watching his other movies, since I got curious.
