Okay, so I’ve been messing around with Wuthering Waves lately, and let me tell you, getting that Lightcrusher achievement? Not as easy as it looks. I figured I’d share how I finally nailed it, ’cause I was banging my head against the wall for a bit there.

The First Attempts…Failures
First, I tried the most obvious thing. I went to the spot I saw in some video and use Jiyan to fight, just whaling on the boss with my strongest characters. Nope. Died. Fast. Tried it a few more times, tweaking my team, changing up my rotations…still nothing. I was starting to think this achievement was bugged or something.
Figuring Out the Mechanic
Then, I started paying closer attention. I noticed that the big guy has this, like, shield thing going on. And when he does certain attacks, the shield flashes. So, I figured, maybe there’s a connection? I read some comments online about parrying(but I am not sure, maybe it’s just a normal attack).
The “Aha!” Moment
I started experimenting.I tried to normal attack when that shield flashed, and the boss will into weak status. I did this a bunch of times, dodging his other attacks as best I could (which, honestly, I’m still not great at), and BAM! Achievement unlocked! I was so hyped, I almost woke up my roommate.
My Team (It Doesn’t Really Matter)
- Jiyan: Because he is cool and powerful.
- Healer:Someone to keep me alive.
- Support :No needs.
My Steps to Success (Finally!)
Here’s what I did, step-by-step:
- Go to the boss.
- Wait for the boss to do those attacks and prepare.
- Use Jiyan’s normal attack to broke his status.
- Dodge like crazy, and do it again and again.
- Don’t use your strongest attacks until that shield is down!
- If you die, get your timing down and try again. It’s all about practice!
Seriously, that’s it. It took me a while to get the timing right, but once I figured out the normal attack, it was pretty straightforward. Hopefully, this helps someone else out there who’s struggling. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go hunt down some more achievements…
