Okay, so I’ve been staring at my fantasy football lineup for like, an hour, and it all comes down to Khalil Herbert. Should I start him? This is what went through my head, and what I ended up doing.

The Dilemma
First, I looked at Herbert’s recent games. Not amazing, not terrible. He’s been kinda… meh. Sharing carries, you know? But then I remembered the matchup. The other team’s defense is… well, let’s just say they’re not great against the run. Like, at all.
So, that got me thinking. Potential there, right? But then my brain started going, “Yeah, but what if he only gets, like, eight carries? What if they fall behind and just abandon the run?”. Ugh, classic fantasy football anxiety.
The Deep Dive (aka Staring at Stats)
I opened up a few websites, you know, the usual suspects. Checked out projected points, expert rankings, all that stuff. Some folks were high on him, some were low. Super helpful, right? (Not really.)
Then I dove into some deeper stats. Looked at things like yards per carry, red zone touches, that sort of thing. Trying to get a feel for whether he’s actually been good lately, or just kinda… lucky. It was a mixed bag, honestly.
The Gut Check
After all that, I still wasn’t sure. So, I did what any rational person does: I asked my buddy. He’s a huge Bears fan, so I figured he’d have some insight. He said, “Dude, it’s a gamble, but I think he could go off.” Okay, not exactly a ringing endorsement, but it’s something.
The Decision
Finally, I just made a decision. I decided to go for it. I started Khalil Herbert. Why? Mostly because of that matchup. And, okay, maybe a little bit because I like to live on the edge. Plus, my other options were kinda bleak.
So, yeah, that’s my thought process. Wish me luck, I’m going to activited him now. Will I regret it? Maybe. But that’s fantasy football, baby!
