Okay, so I’ve been a huge WWE fan since I was a kid. I mean, HUGE. And it’s not just the wrestlers, you know? The ring announcers are a big part of the show, too. So, I decided to make my own list of the best WWE ring announcers of all time. It was tougher than I thought!

First, I brainstormed. I grabbed a piece of paper and jotted down every announcer I could remember. I had names like Howard Finkel, Lillian Garcia, Tony Chimel, Justin Roberts… the list went on and on.
Then, I started watching old matches. I wanted to really hear their voices, their styles, how they built up the excitement. I spent hours on YouTube, jumping from WrestleMania to SummerSlam, even some old-school RAW episodes.
My Criteria
I realized I needed some rules, some way to judge them. So, I came up with these:
- Voice Quality: Did they have a memorable, powerful voice?
- Style: Were they smooth and classic, or did they have a unique flair?
- Crowd Engagement: Did they get the crowd hyped?
- Memorable Moments: Did they have any iconic calls that everyone remembers?
After watching tons of footage, I started narrowing down my list. It was tough! Some announcers were great at getting the crowd going, but maybe their voice wasn’t as iconic. Others had legendary voices but maybe lacked that extra oomph.
I went back and forth, comparing different announcers. I argued with myself (yeah, I do that). “Was Finkel’s classic style better than Garcia’s energy?” “Did Chimel’s longevity outweigh Roberts’s more modern approach?” It was a whole thing.
Finally, I forced myself to make some tough choices.I made a finall list,It was a fun trip down memory lane, and it made me appreciate the art of ring announcing even more.
