Alright, so I was trying to figure out the Georgia Tech football team’s lineup, and I thought, “Let’s get a handle on this depth chart thing.” It seemed straightforward enough, but, well, it turned into a bit of a project.

First Steps: Finding a Chart
My first move was just hitting up the usual spots online. I figured the official Georgia Tech athletics site would have something, or maybe one of those big sports news websites. It took a little digging, I am telling you, I clicked around a few pages.
Getting Organized: My “System”
Once I grabbed what seemed to be a good, I did use it. I wanted to put things in order, so I came out a way.
Here’s how I tackled it:
- Offense First: I’m an organized guy and list every player and started with the offensive positions – quarterback, running backs, receivers, the whole deal.
- Defense Next: Then, I flipped it over and did the same for the defense – linemen, linebackers, cornerbacks, safeties.
- Special Teams (Don’t Forget!): Gotta have the kickers, punters, and returners! Those guys are important, too.
Making Sense of It All
Okay, so I had all these names, but what did it all mean? That’s where the real work started. I wanted to know who was likely to start, who was the backup, and who was waiting in the wings.
I went back, and look at those game summaries, to see who was actually playing a lot.
The Finished Product (Well, Almost)
I am pretty happy about the result I got, I built a simple chart and finally, have a decent handle on who’s who on the Georgia Tech football team. Now, I’m ready to do a little more, find more about the new guys!
