Okay, so I was messing around in Clash Royale today, and I decided to really focus on the Fire Spirit. I’ve always liked the little guy, but I never really got how to use him effectively. So, I went on a mission to figure this fiery fella out.

Experiment Time
First, I just threw him into a few matches, no real strategy, just to see what would happen. I quickly learned that dropping him solo against, like, a Knight or something is a terrible idea. He just gets squashed. No surprise there, I guess.
Then I started thinking about his splash damage. I figured he’d be good against swarms, so I tried him out against a Skeleton Army. Boom! Worked like a charm. Took them all out in one fiery explosion. Satisfying!
Getting Crafty
I started to get a little more tactical. I realized the Fire Spirit is awesome for support. I’d drop a Hog Rider at the bridge, and then immediately follow with a Fire Spirit. The opponent would usually drop something to counter the Hog, and the Fire Spirit would either take it out or seriously weaken it, letting the Hog get some good hits on the tower.
- Hog Rider + Fire Spirit: This became my go-to combo for a while.
- Countering Swarms: Skeleton Army, Minion Horde, even Goblin Gang – Fire Spirit is your friend.
- Chip Damage: Sometimes, I’d just send him in alone if I knew the opponent was low on elixir. He’d usually get a little bit of damage on the tower, which adds up.
I also find out that cycle the fire sprit with other cheap cards can quickly help me get advantage of elixir.
Still Learning
I’m definitely no Fire Spirit master yet, but I’m getting there. I’m still figuring out all the best matchups and timings. It’s all about practice, I guess. He is a simple and effective card, I should practice more!
