Alright, so I wanted to mess around with submarine pitchers in MLB The Show 24. I’d seen some videos and it looked pretty wild, so I figured I’d give it a shot. Here’s how it went down.
Getting Started
First, I booted up the game. Obvious, I know, but you gotta start somewhere, right? I went straight into “Create-A-Player” mode, because, let’s be honest, I wasn’t going to find some random, pre-made guy with this funky delivery.
Creating My Freak of Nature
Next, I made a pitcher, of course. Didn’t really matter what hand he threw with, because this was all about the motion. The key here is I went to the “Pitching Style” section, and started to search from pitching styles.
Finding the Motion
I scrolled and scrolled, and after many attempts, I found it! Or at least, a style that work for me, then I began my career!
Taking Him to the Big Leagues (Sort Of)
I saved my new submarine-slinging monster and then headed straight into my career. I wanted to see this thing in action against some real(ish) hitters.
The Results? Hilarious and Effective
First few games, it was mostly me giggling at how ridiculous it looked. Batters were clearly confused, and It’s just weird, so even if they make contact, it’s often weak. I racked up a good number of strikeouts, not gonna lie. It felt like I was cheating, but hey, it’s in the game, right?
The Takeaway:
- Submarine pitchers are a blast to play with in MLB The Show 24.
- They’re surprisingly effective, at least in my experience.
- It’s a fun way to change things up if you’re getting bored with the standard overhand stuff.
So, yeah, that was my little experiment with submarine pitchers. Give it a try if you’re looking for something different. You might just become the next big (or, uh, small and low-to-the-ground) pitching sensation!
