Okay, so I saw this title floating around – “Goldberg is one of the most hated men in wrestling” – and I thought, “Man, that’s harsh, but is it true?” I decided to dig in and see what all the fuss was about. This is my journey down the rabbit hole.

First Steps: The Basic Search
I started with the obvious – a simple search. I typed in “Goldberg wrestling controversy” and boom, the floodgates opened. Page after page of articles, forum posts, and videos popped up.
Diving into the Forums
Next, I figured I’d see what the “real” fans were saying. I jumped onto some wrestling forums. And wow. Let me tell you, some people really, REALLY have strong feelings about Goldberg.
- Some were calling him “overrated.”
- Others were saying he “injured” other wrestlers.
- And a bunch were just plain calling him “boring.”
It was intense!
Checking Out YouTube
Of course, no deep dive is complete without a trip to YouTube. I watched some match highlights, some interviews, and a whole lot of fan-made videos. I have to say, the “hate” videos were way more creative than the “love” ones. The editing, the music, the memes – it was a whole production.
The “Evidence”
I started to piece together some common complaints:
- His Matches Were Short: Many felt his matches were too quick and didn’t showcase real wrestling skill.
- The “Spear” and “Jackhammer”: These moves, while iconic, were seen as repetitive and, by some, dangerous.
- The Spear.
- The Jackhammer.
- His Return(s): Some fans felt his comebacks were more about money than a love for the sport.
My Takeaway
After spending hours researching, watching, and reading, I get it. I see why some people aren’t fans. But “most hated”? That’s a strong claim. He definitely has his detractors, and they’re loud, but there are also a lot of people who clearly still cheer for him. It’s wrestling, after all – it’s all about the drama, the passion, and the divided opinions!
And now after all the digging ,I have to do my own *’s really a long time digging.
