Alright, so I wanted to mess around with this “matt painter height” thing today. I’d seen some stuff online and was curious to give it a shot myself.

Getting Started
First, I needed to figure out exactly what I was doing. I basically needed some kind of canvas, you know, like something to paint on. And I needed a “matt painter,” which I took to mean a way to paint things in a non-glossy, flat kind of way. I also needed to figure out this whole “height” element.
The Setup
So, I grabbed some supplies:
- A piece of cardboard:This was my “canvas”. Nothing fancy, just a leftover box.
- Some house paint: I found some water-based paint, a basic color.
- A brush:Not too big, not too small.
- Ruler: Got a ruler ready to go!
The Experiment
I started by measuring out the cardboard. I made a mark to indicate the “height” I wanted. My “height” would be, the cardboard’s height.
I used the ruler to measure a certain height up the cardboard, making small pencil marks as I went. Then, I dipped my brush into the paint and started, paint the cardboard all over.
The paint went on pretty smoothly. I went a bit heavy and needed the cardboard paint all over!
The Result
After all, I messure the “height” again, and it is my cardboard’s height! Everything is done!
