Alright, guys, let’s talk about Willow. I’ve been messing around with her, trying to figure out the best way to build her, and I think I’ve finally cracked the code. I went through a few different stages, and trust me, some were… rough.

The Early Game Struggle
Initially, I was all over the place. I started, like I always do, by checking a few online builds. Big mistake. Or, not a huge mistake, but it definitely wasn’t tailored to my playstyle. I tried maximizing her damage, which, you know, sounds good on paper. But I found I would just get wasted early in the game.
I died. A lot. I’m talking about getting totally destroyed before I could even get my super going. I was throwing my phone, seriously, it was that frustrating. I kept tinkering, changing out my star power, changing my gadgets, I was tweaking everything.
The “Aha!” Moment
Then, I had an epiphany, okay? I changed up my strategy. It finally clicked. It was like, “Dude, you are playing her all wrong.” I started to focus on defense first, and started using her mind control to do the damage for me.
- Gadget: I decided to stick to Popping Pincushion.
- Star Power: Love is Blind is my go-to.
- Gears: This can change depending on the map.
The Build Breakdown
So, here’s the build I’ve been rocking, and it’s been working wonders. I started with Popping Pincushion, Love is Blind, and two gears.
I equipped her with the Damage and the Shield gears.
With Popping Pincushion, it allows Willow’s super to pierce through enemies and I get some really satisfying long-range hits.
Then “Love is Blind” Star Power, the poisoned enemies, they can’t charge their super, which is absolutely crucial for shutting down some of those annoying brawlers.
Finally, I added that Damage gear and Shield gear for, well, obvious reasons. Extra damage and staying alive longer.

Putting It All Together
With this setup, I was finally starting to see results. I was surviving longer, getting my super more consistently, and actually winning games. I’m pulling enemies, I’m throwing them into bad situations, and I’m generally causing chaos, and it’s awesome.
It takes some practice, and you’ve got to be patient, but when you get it right, it’s so satisfying. I’m controlling enemies, using their own powers against them, and just wreaking havoc. It’s a blast!
So, yeah, that’s my journey to finding the best Willow build. It wasn’t easy, there was a lot of trial and error, but I think I’ve finally found something that works really well. Give it a try, and let me know what you think!
