Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with this “SAM” thing, along with “Frank” and “Vitaly”. I’d heard some buzz about them and figured, why not give it a shot? I’m always up for trying new tech, especially if it seems a bit cutting-edge.
Getting Started
First things first, I needed to get my environment set up. It involved a bit of downloading and installing. you know the drill.
I spent a good chunk of time just making sure everything was talking to each other correctly. That’s always the fun part, right? Sarcasm intended.
Diving into SAM
My first task was to play around with the sam model itself.
I had downloaded the model, and got the basic setup running.
It wasn’t super intuitive at first, There’s always a bit of a learning curve, I’ll admit that I had to try a bunch of times.
Adding Frank and Vitaly
Then I started experimenting with frank and vitaly.
This involved tweaking some parameters and running some scripts.
Honestly, a lot of it was trial and error. I was just kind of poking around, seeing what would happen if I changed this or that.
- Trial and Error: Lots of it. Seriously. I probably broke things a dozen times before I started to get a feel for how everything worked together.
- Small Victories: Every time I got something to work, even something small, it felt like a win. Those little dopamine hits kept me going.
- Document Everything!: The most important thing is that I have recorded every step of my actions, including those that failed, and organized and saved them.
Wrapping Up
So, that was my day playing with SAM, Frank, and Vitaly. It was a mix of frustration and “aha!” moments, which is pretty typical for me when I’m learning something new. I definitely didn’t master everything, but I made some progress, and that’s what counts. I’ll probably pick it up again tomorrow and see if I can push things a bit further.
