Okay, so, I started this whole weight thing a while back. It’s not really about being super skinny or anything, just feeling better, you know?
The Beginning
I didn’t even weigh myself at the very, very start. I just knew I felt… heavy. Clothes were tight, stairs were a pain, that sort of thing. So, I started small.
- Cut out the soda. That was a big one. So much sugar in that stuff!
- Walked more. Instead of driving short distances, I’d hoof it.
- Tried to eat less junk. Still ate pizza, but, like, less often.
After a few weeks of that, I finally stepped on a scale. Don’t even remember the number, just that it was higher than I wanted. That was my real starting point, even though I’d already been making changes.
Getting a Bit More Serious
I realized I needed a bit more structure. So I:
- Started tracking calories. This part can be annoying. I am not going to lie.
- Upped the exercise. Joined a gym, but mostly just used the treadmill and some basic weight machines. Nothing fancy.
- Found some healthy recipes. Cooking more at home helped a lot. Less takeout, more veggies.
There were good weeks and bad weeks, it can be so annoying!. Times I felt great, times I wanted to give up and eat a whole cake. But I kept plugging away, trying to be consistent, even if I wasn’t perfect.
Today: 83.9 kg
So, this morning, I stepped on the scale, and there it was: 83.9 kg. It’s not the end of the journey, but it’s a big milestone for me. I can feel the difference. I moved more easily, breathing came easier, and overall feeling so much better!
It’s not just about the number, though. It’s about feeling healthier and stronger. It’s about making small changes that add up over time. It’s about proving to myself that I can stick with something, even when it’s tough.
Still have work to do, but today, I’m feeling pretty good about how far I’ve come.
