Okay, so today I decided to tackle this “NFL Play Callers Crossword” thing. I’m a huge football fan, and I love a good puzzle, so it seemed like a perfect match. Here’s how it went down:

First, I found a crossword online. Just did a quick search and a bunch popped up. I picked one that looked challenging but not totally impossible.
Then, I printed it out. Yeah, I’m old school. I like to have a physical copy I can write on. It just feels better than staring at a screen.
Next, I grabbed a pencil and got comfortable. I made myself a cup of coffee, put on some music, and settled in at the kitchen table. This is serious business, you know?
I started by reading through all the clues. Some of them were super easy, like, “Coach of the Chiefs” (duh, Andy Reid). Others were way harder, referencing specific seasons or even play calls. This is where my supposed vast football knowledge was put to the test.
- I filled in the easy ones first, just to get some momentum going. It’s like a little confidence boost.
- Then I started tackling the tougher ones. I had to do some serious thinking, and even a little bit of Googling, I’m not gonna lie. There was one clue about a play caller from the 90s that I just couldn’t remember.
- I got stuck a few times, for sure. There were some clues where I just had absolutely no idea. I left those blank and came back to them later.
It took me a good hour, maybe a little more. I kept at it, erasing wrong answers, guessing, and trying different combinations. It was frustrating at times, but also really satisfying when I finally figured one out.
Finally, I filled in the last box. It was the name of a coach I had to look up, but hey, I got there in the end! I felt pretty darn good. It was a fun little challenge, and I definitely learned a few things about NFL coaches I didn’t know before.
So, that was my crossword adventure for the day. It’s not exactly saving the world, but it was a fun way to spend an afternoon. Plus, I always feel good when I exercise my brain a little. Maybe I’ll try another one next week!
