Okay, so the other day I was messing around, trying to figure out what Tiger Woods’ handicap is. You know, just curious. I mean, the guy’s a legend, right?

So, I started digging. I Googled it, obviously, because where else do you start? I found some stuff, but it was all a bit… scattered. Different numbers in different places. Some articles were talking about his handicap back when he was just starting out, some were talking about his “peak” handicap, and others were a bit more recent.
I kept at it, scrolling through a bunch of websites. Finally, I found a few that seemed to agree, and they were pretty recent, talking about 2020. Apparently, around that time, his handicap index was sitting at a +6.5. That’s plus, not minus! Shows you how ridiculously good he is.
I also learned a couple of other things. When he first went pro, at like 20 years old, his handicap was around +8. That’s already insane, right? Then, I saw that at his absolute best, it was supposedly even higher, more than a +9! My mind was blown, and still a little confused. I did my best to understand, that the higher the plus, the better the player.
So yeah, that’s the story. I went down a rabbit hole, spent a good chunk of time, and came out the other side with some Tiger Woods trivia. +6.5 in 2020. Crazy, huh?
