Okay, so yesterday I decided to finally get serious about farming those Spring of the First Dewdrops. You know, for the local legend, Furina, and all that. I had a bunch of other stuff to do in Fontaine, but I figured I’d carve out some time and just get it done.

Starting the Route
I started by teleporting over to the waypoint near the “Denouement of Sin” domain – that one in the Beryl Region. I always forget the actual name of the place, it’s a mouthful. Anyway, from there, I jumped down and glided towards the water.
My initial plan was super simple: follow the coastline. I figured the dewdrops would be easy to spot near the water, and I was mostly right. I swam along, keeping an eye on the shore, and I picked up a few here and there. No real strategy, just “ooh, shiny!” and grab.
Getting More Efficient
After a while, though, my haphazard approach started to feel, well, haphazard. I pulled up a map online (no links, of course, we’re keeping it real here) and noticed some clusters marked in areas I’d already been. Clearly, my “follow the coast” method was missing some spots.
So, I adjusted my route. Instead of just swimming, I started diving down more often. Turns out, a lot of those dewdrops are actually underwater, attached to plants and rocks. Who knew? I spent a good chunk of time just exploring the underwater areas, using the echo of conches to help, surfacing for air, and diving back down.
The “Loop”
Eventually, I found a sort of “loop” that worked really well. I’d start at that same waypoint, head down to the coast, follow it south, dive around the underwater areas, and then loop back up north towards the Opera House area. There’s another waypoint there, so I could teleport back to the start and do it all over again.
- Teleport to the waypoint near the “Denouement of Sin” domain.
- Jump and glide down to the water.
- Swim and dive along the coast, heading south.
- Check underwater areas thoroughly.
- Loop back north towards the Opera House area.
- Teleport back to the starting waypoint and repeat.
Results and Frustrations
Honestly, it took a few runs. It’s not like they’re everywhere, you know? And sometimes, I’d get distracted by a random Seelie or a chest I hadn’t found yet. Plus, those underwater currents can be annoying, pushing you around when you’re trying to grab a tiny dewdrop.
But, I stuck with it. After a couple of hours, I had a pretty decent haul. Enough to make a real difference, anyway. I’m still not done done, but I feel like I’ve got a solid system now. It’s all about that loop, the diving, and the patience. And maybe a little bit of luck, because sometimes those dewdrops just don’t want to show up where you expect them.
So, yeah, that’s my Spring of the First Dewdrop farming story. Not super exciting, but hey, it’s honest work. Gotta get those materials somehow, right?
