Okay, here’s my experience buying PGA golf shorts, written in a casual, blog-like style:

So, I needed some new golf shorts. Badly. The ones I had were, let’s just say, seasoned. Faded, a little frayed, and honestly, probably a size too small after all those quarantine snacks. Time for an upgrade!
I started, like everyone does, by just browsing online. I didn’t have a specific brand in mind, just knew I wanted something comfortable, breathable, and, you know, that looked halfway decent. I wasn’t trying to win any fashion awards, but I also didn’t want to look like I’d just rolled out of bed.
I quickly realized there are a ton of options out there. It’s overwhelming! I saw all the big names, and then a bunch of brands I’d never even heard of. That’s when I started focusing on the “PGA Tour” ones, figuring they must be, at the very least, golf-appropriate, right?
Narrowing it Down
I started looking at reviews. Lots and lots of reviews. Some people raved about the stretchiness, others complained about the pockets, some said they ran big, others said they ran small. It was a mess! I felt like I was going in circles.
My strategy then became pretty simple: focus on the basics. I picked a few pairs that seemed to have consistently good reviews, especially regarding comfort and fit. I made sure they had the features I wanted, like:
- Moisture-wicking material (because, let’s be honest, I sweat).
- Enough pockets to hold tees, balls, and my phone (priorities!).
- A classic, not-too-flashy style.
The Purchase and the Verdict
I finally pulled the trigger on two pairs, different colors, both from the PGA Tour line. I figured that gave me some variety, and if one didn’t fit quite right, I had a backup. I held my breath and clicked “buy.”
They arrived a few days later. I tried them on immediately, of course. And… success! Both pairs fit great. They were lightweight, felt super comfortable, and moved really well when I did a few practice swings in my living room (don’t judge). The pockets were deep enough, and the material felt like it would definitely keep me cool on a hot day.
I’ve worn them a few times on the course now, and I’m really happy with them. They’re exactly what I was looking for: comfortable, functional, and they don’t make me look like a total golf newbie. Mission accomplished!
