Okay, so today I was trying to solve this crossword, and one clue really stumped me: “City in Minnesota.” I was like, “Oh man, Minnesota? I barely know any cities there!”

First, I racked my brain, trying to remember any Minnesota cities I might have heard of. I came up with Minneapolis and St. Paul, because, you know, they’re kinda famous. But the clue had a specific number of letters, and neither of those fit.
So, I decided to get a little help. I grabbed my phone and did a quick search for “cities in Minnesota.” A whole bunch of websites popped up, listing tons of towns I’d never even heard of.
My Process:
- Brainstorm: Tried to think of any Minnesota cities I already knew.
- Google it: When I got stuck I began to search.
- Look at the List: I scanned through a list of Minnesota cities, looking for ones that matched the number of letters in the clue.
- Try it Out: Once I found a potential match, I penciled it into the crossword to see if it fit with the other clues.
I went through the list, checking the number of letters for each city. Finally, I found one that fit! It was “Duluth.” I filled it in, and it worked perfectly with the other clues. I was so relieved!
It’s funny how sometimes you just need a little nudge in the right direction. I probably wouldn’t have gotten that clue without looking it up, but hey, that’s part of the fun of crosswords, right? You learn something new every time!
