Okay, so today I decided to dig into the stats from the Dallas Mavericks vs. LA Clippers game. I’ve been trying to get better at understanding basketball stats, and I figured this would be a good way to practice.

First, I needed to find the data. After searching around a bit, I manage to get the raw data.
Once I get the data, I started to organize them. I’m a huge fan of keeping things tidy, so I spent some time making sure everything was lined up correctly.
Player Points
Next, I wanted to see who the top scorers were. Here’s what I found:
- Player A: 30 points
- Player B: 25 points
- Player C: 20 points
It’s always interesting to me how much the point totals can vary between players. Some guys are just natural scorers, I guess.
Rebounds and Assists
Of course, basketball is about more than just scoring. I also looked at rebounds and assists:
- Rebounds:
- Player D: 12 rebounds
- Player E: 10 rebounds
-
Assists:
- Player F: 8 assists
- Player G: 6 assists
I noticed that some players are really good at grabbing rebounds, while others are better at setting up their teammates. That made the game fun.
I’m not saying I’m an expert now, but it’s pretty cool to see how the numbers tell the story of the game. I think I’ll keep doing this for other games too. It’s a fun way to learn more about basketball!
