Okay, so today I decided to dig into something a bit different – WWE wrestler Adam Rose. I’d seen some clips of him before, and his whole “party animal” gimmick always struck me as, well, interesting. So I figured, why not spend an afternoon getting to know the guy a bit better?

First, I fired up the good old search engine. I just wanted a basic overview, you know? Name, real name (turns out it’s Raymond Leppan), where he’s from (South Africa!), that kind of stuff. Basic biography.
Then I moved onto watching some of his matches. I started with his NXT stuff, where the Adam Rose character really got going. Gotta say, the “Exotic Express” entrance with all the Rosebuds? Pretty wild. It’s definitely… a choice. I spent a good hour or so just clicking through different matches, getting a feel for his in-ring style. He’s not a super technical wrestler, but he’s got charisma, I’ll give him that.
Diving into interviews and articles
After the matches, I wanted to hear from the man himself. So, I looked for interviews. I found a few podcast appearances and some written Q&As. It was cool to hear him talk about the evolution of the character, and the inspirations behind it. He seemed like a pretty thoughtful guy, and you could tell he put a lot of work into the whole Adam Rose persona, even if it didn’t always land with the audience the way he might have hoped. The interviews really added a layer of personality, and I started to see a new side of him.
- Started with basic biographical research.
- Watched his NXT matches.
- Watched more of his main roster WWE matches.
- Looked for and watched interviews.
I didn’t go crazy deep, mind you. I’m not writing a book here! But by the end of the afternoon, I felt like I had a decent handle on Adam Rose/Raymond Leppan. It’s always fun to explore these little corners of the wrestling world. I finished the day by checking out a bit about what the man is up to now.
