Okay, so I’ve been seeing these “Joe Rogan Foundation Cigars” pop up all over my social feeds. I’m a big fan of the podcast, and I enjoy a good cigar now and then, so I figured, why not? Let’s give these a shot and see what the hype is all about.

The Hunt Begins
First thing I did was try to find these things. That wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I googled around, checked a few of my usual online cigar shops, and…nothing. They weren’t listed anywhere obvious. It felt like a bit of a treasure hunt, honestly.
Found ‘Em!
After a bit more digging, I finally got a clearer picture of what was going on and ordered. Seemed a little exclusive, which, I guess, adds to the appeal.
First Impressions – Unboxing
The package arrived a few days later. The box itself looked pretty standard. Nothing super fancy, but sturdy enough. I popped it open, and there they were. I gotta say, they looked well-made. Nice, dark wrapper, felt firm to the touch, no soft spots or anything like that.
The Smoke Test
I clipped the end, toasted the foot, and took my first puff. My initial thought? Smooth. Way smoother than I expected. I was anticipating something strong, maybe a bit harsh, but it was surprisingly mellow. There was a definite earthy flavor, a bit of spice, but nothing overpowering.
- First Third: Started off pretty mild, mostly that earthy, woody taste.
- Second Third: The spice started to kick in a little more. I started getting some hints of, like, dark chocolate or coffee. Still very smooth, though.
- Final Third: The strength definitely ramped up, but it never got bitter. The spice was more prominent, and that earthy flavor stayed consistent.
The Verdict
Overall? I enjoyed it. It wasn’t the most complex cigar I’ve ever had, but it was a solid, enjoyable smoke. I’d say it’s a good medium-bodied cigar, something you could enjoy after a good meal or while hanging out with friends. Would I buy them again? Probably. They’re not going to replace my everyday favorites, but they’re definitely worth trying if you’re a Rogan fan or just looking for a decent, well-made cigar.
It burned evenly, too, which is always a plus. No relighting needed, which is something I appreciate.
