Okay, so I’ve been diving deep into Monopoly Go lately, and let me tell you, this Camelot’s Tournament event? It’s been a wild ride. I wanted to share my whole experience, start to finish, so here goes nothing!

First, I logged in, obviously. Saw the banner for the tournament and thought, “Why not?” I’m not usually a big tournament player, I mostly just like rolling the dice and chilling, but the rewards looked pretty sweet.
So, I jumped in. The basic idea is you land on certain tiles – railroads, I think – and you get points for shutdowns and bank heists. The more points you get, the higher you climb on the leaderboard, and the better the prizes.
- First few rolls? Nothing. Nada. Just passing Go, collecting my $200, and feeling like I was wasting my time.
- Then, bam! I hit a railroad. Got a shutdown, and suddenly I was on the board. It was a small shutdown, though, so not a ton of points.
- Kept rolling, kept trying. I landed on another railroad, and this time – jackpot! Bank heist! I got lucky with the mini-game and snagged a decent amount of cash and tournament points.
Now, here’s where things got interesting. I started getting competitive. I was checking the leaderboard constantly, seeing how far I could climb. I even used some of my saved-up dice rolls – something I rarely do – just to try and get more points. It’s silly, I know, but I got caught up in the moment.
The whole time was full of ups and * I get a bunch of railroads in a row, other times I felt I did not land on anything useful for ages.
My Final Results
After all that, I ended up finishing… okay. Not amazing, not terrible, just okay. I think I got to milestone 20 and got some dice and a bit of cash, so. Could have been better, could have been worse. I definitely learned a few things about how these tournaments work, and I’ll probably try again next time. Although, I might try to be a little less obsessed with the leaderboard next time around! It was fun.
