Okay, so I’ve been on this quest to find the “perfect” putter. I’ve tried a bunch, from the big-name brands to some smaller boutique ones. Recently, I stumbled across Olson Golf putters, and figured, why not give them a shot? Here’s how it went down.

The Deep Dive
First thing I did was hit up their website. I wanted to see what they were all about. Their whole thing seems to be about custom-built putters, so that got me interested. I’m kinda picky about feel and look, so the idea of tweaking things to my liking sounded pretty good.
Getting My Hands Dirty
I started to contact Olson Golf.
My plan was to call them, but I didn’t do it at once. Instead, I started by sending an email.
I didn’t get a reply for a long time. I thought they were ignoring me, so I called them directly.
That way, I could start working with them immediately.
Craft Time!
After getting in touch, We’re discussing my needs. I told them how i ususlly putt. And they suggested me a putter head.
It’s heavier than my old one. At first, I was confused because I was used to light ones. But I kept on practicing, and I realized that I can make more stable putts with it.
It’s an intersting experience.

Testing it out
The first few rounds with the Olson were, well, a learning curve. It definitely felt different. The weighting was something I had to get used to. I was pushing putts right for a while, but I started to figure out the alignment and how much force to use.
After some more practice, I started to see the benefits. My distance control got way better, especially on those longer lag putts. I wasn’t leaving them 5 feet short anymore! Shorter putts felt more solid too, like I had more control over the face.
The Verdict (So Far)
So, am I sinking every putt now? Nah. But I’m definitely seeing improvement. It’s not a magic wand, but the Olson putter has helped me feel more confident on the greens. I’m still getting used to it, and I think with more rounds, it’ll only get better. It’s shown me that sometimes, going the custom route and trying something a little different can really pay off.
It’s a process, and that’s what I like about it. I messed with it, adjusted it, and kept practicing. It is a part of my golf journey.
