Okay, so today I decided to dig into something I’ve been curious about for a while: creating a detailed digital recreation of David Ortiz’s home. I’m a huge Big Papi fan, and I thought it would be a cool project to try and map out his place, at least as much as I could from publicly available info.

Getting Started: Gathering Intel
First things first, I needed to find as much information as possible. I started with what anyone would do: I hit up the search engines. I spent a good chunk of time scrolling through articles, looking for any mentions of his house, any descriptions, anything at all. I knew it wouldn’t be easy since, you know, celebrities value their privacy.
I looked at some real estate websites. Sometimes you can catch old listings with pictures or even floor plans, although that’s pretty rare for celebrity homes.
Piecing Together the Puzzle
After a while of searching, I was started to get information. The biggest helps were:
- Old News Articles:Found a few articles from when he first bought or sold properties. These sometimes had general descriptions, like “five bedrooms” or “spacious backyard.”
- Social Media: Occasionally, you can find glimpses of a home in the background of photos or videos.
Building the Picture (Literally)
Once I had as much information as,I tried to sketch things out. I’m no artist, but I grabbed a piece of paper and started drawing a basic layout. Five bedrooms? Okay, where would they likely be? Big backyard? How would that connect to the house?
I used to play around with some basic design software. It’s nothing professional, just something simple to visualize spaces. I started inputting the details I had gathered, trying to create a rough 3D model. It’s super basic, just boxes and shapes, but it helped me get a sense of the scale and layout.
The “Finished” Product (For Now)
It is obvious that this is a work in progress, and the model is extremely rough. I’d love to refine it further, but that depends on finding more information.
Honestly, the whole process was a fun challenge. It made me realize how much we don’t see about the lives of public figures, and how much we can still piece together with a little digging and some creative thinking.
