Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with different team comps for the 4.7 abyss. I’ve been seeing some chatter online about good lineups, so I figured I’d jump in and see what works for me.

First Attempts & Failures
First, I booted up the game and headed straight for the Spiral Abyss. My usual go-to team is a Hyperbloom comp, but I wanted to experiment a bit. I threw together a team with Neuvillette, Fischl, Kazuha, and Zhongli. Sounds pretty solid, right? Well, it kinda was, but it wasn’t exactly blowing my mind.
I breezed through the first few chambers, no problem. But then I hit a wall on the later floors. The damage just wasn’t there, especially against those annoying bosses with massive HP pools. I realized I needed to rethink my strategy.
Adjustments and Tweaks
- I swapped out Fischl for Yae Miko, thinking her consistent Electro application would be better. It helped a bit, but not a huge difference.
- Then I tried replacing Zhongli with Baizhu, hoping the extra Dendro application and healing would help keep the team alive longer. That felt a little better, but still not quite there.
- I spent some time looking at my artifacts and weapons, making sure everything was leveled up properly. I even swapped out a few artifacts for better ones. Every little bit helps, right?
Finding a Groove
After a few more tries, I decided to go back to a Hyperbloom comp, but with a twist. I used Neuvillette as the main on-field driver, with Nahida, Kuki Shinobu, and Baizhu supporting him. This team felt way better! The reactions were popping off, and the enemies were melting.
I really do focus much on Neuvillette! I think he is really powerful!
I managed to clear all the floors with this setup, though it was still pretty close on a couple of chambers. I definitely need to keep practicing my rotations and get a better feel for the timing.
Final thoughts.
It’s all about experimentation! What works for one person might not work for another. Don’t be afraid to try out different characters and team comps until you find something that clicks. And remember, even small tweaks to your artifacts and weapons can make a big difference!
I’m still not totally satisfied with my clear times, so I’ll probably keep messing around with different teams. Maybe I’ll try a Taser comp next, or even something completely different. That’s the fun of the Abyss, right? Always something new to try!
