Okay, so I saw this “Singles Day Tournament” thing pop up in Monopoly Go and figured, why not? I had some dice rolls saved up, and it seemed like a decent way to kill some time and maybe snag some rewards.
Getting Started
First, I just opened up the app as usual. The tournament banner was right there on the main screen, so I tapped on it. It gave me the basic rundown – land on certain tiles, get points, climb the leaderboard, the usual Monopoly Go stuff. Nothing too complicated, really.
My Strategy (Or Lack Thereof)
Honestly, I didn’t have much of a “strategy.” I mostly just rolled and hoped for the best. I did try to aim for the Railroad tiles since those seemed to give the most points for the tournament. Shutdowns and Bank Heists are where it’s at, you know?
- Roll and Pray: Seriously, a lot of it was just luck.
- Railroads are King: Landing on those gave me a good boost in points.
- Shutdowns and Heists: These are always good for points, tournament or not.
The Grind
I played on and off throughout the day. I wasn’t super glued to my phone, but whenever I had a few minutes, I’d jump in and roll some dice. I noticed that when I got those Shutdowns on high-value properties, my points really shot up. Bank Heists were decent too, but Shutdowns felt more impactful.
Results
By the end of the day, I didn’t exactly top the leaderboard. I ended up somewhere in the middle, I think. Not bad, not amazing. I did manage to snag some rewards, though – some extra dice, some in-game cash, and maybe a sticker pack or two. Nothing to write home about, but hey, free stuff is free stuff, right?
I used some multipliers too, usally x5, sometimes x10 when I was feeling a little risky and the railroads were on a good place on the board.
Overall, it was a pretty chill way to spend Singles Day. I wouldn’t say I’m a Monopoly Go pro now, but it was fun, and I got some freebies. Can’t complain about that!
