So, I’ve been a huge Angels fan, and obviously, a massive Mike Trout fan, for years. Getting a signed ball from him has always been, like, a pipe dream. I figured it was never going to happen.

I started by, you know, just looking around online. And I saw the prices and I thought, “whoa these prices are crazy!”
I’m not giving up that easy, though. I kept digging.

I started going to more games. I figured, maybe, just maybe, I could get lucky at a game. I even tried to look up his next game. But, it’s tough, man. Everyone wants a piece of Trout, and getting close enough is a real challenge. Security is tight, and there are always tons of people vying for his attention.
Persistence Pays Off
I didn’t catch the ball, but after the game, there was this small event, charity. The players are going to sign some stuff. I bought a ticket, not even thinking I’d get Trout’s autograph, and wouldn’t you know it? The line I randomly chose was for Trout!

I was freaking out, I am not going to lie my hands were sweating. I handed him the ball and I said that he’s my favorite player. He smiled, signed it, and even chatted with me for a couple of seconds about the game. Best. Day. Ever.
