Okay, so I was digging around today trying to figure out how much those XFL players make. It’s not like the NFL, where everyone knows the big names are swimming in cash. The XFL is, you know, a different beast.
First, I tried just straight-up Googling it. You know, the usual “XFL player salary” search. I got a bunch of articles, but a lot of them were kinda old, talking about the old XFL, or just giving really vague ranges.
So I decided to look deeper. Here’s what I did:
- Scrolled through news articles: I spent a good chunk of time reading through recent articles, looking for any official announcements or reliable leaks about pay. I found a few that all seemed to be talking from a few sources.
- Checked out XFL-related forums and communities: I figured, who better to ask than the hardcore fans? I went on a couple of XFL fan forums and just looked at what people were saying. There were a few threads discussing player salaries, with some folks claiming to have insider info (which, you know, take with a grain of salt).
After all that, I found out about the XFL’s tiered payment system, and how the players get regular paychecks, and win bonuses. Specifically, it looks like this:
- about $800 per week inactive pay.
- close to $5000 per game active pay.
- $1000 bonus for players on the winning team.
What I’ve figured out
So there you have it. Not quite NFL millions, but It’s a decent amount for playing the sport they love. I was really just curious, and now I have a much better idea of the XFL’s financial side.
