Okay, so I’ve been messing around with my fantasy football lineup, and I’m totally stuck on who to start at quarterback: Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert. Both have been kinda up and down, so I really needed to dig in and figure this out.

The Deep Dive
First, I looked at their recent games. I opened up my fantasy app and just started scrolling through their stats. Ugh, it was a mixed bag.
- Tua had a couple of monster games, but then he’d throw in a real stinker with, like, one touchdown and a bunch of interceptions.
- Herbert was more consistent, you know, generally getting decent points, but he didn’t have those huge breakout games that Tua did.
Next, I checked out who they were playing this week. Matchups are EVERYTHING. I went to check who miami and chargers were playing, specifically looking for:
- Which defense is tougher against the pass?
- Any injuries on either defense that might make it easier for the QBs?
After I find that info, I watched some highlight videos. I just wanted to get a feel for how they were playing lately, beyond just the numbers. Sometimes you can see if a guy is looking confident or if he’s making bad decisions, even if the stats don’t show it.
Making the (Tough) Decision
So, after all that digging, I wrote the pros and cons for each guy. Tua, it’s boom or bust potential. Herbert, a safer floor, but maybe a lower ceiling.
Finally, I just went with my gut. I ended up starting… well, I’m not gonna tell you yet in case I change my mind at the last minute! But I feel a little better after doing all this research. At least now I can justify my decision, even if it blows up in my face on Sunday. It is all base on the information that I found from my research, but still I can make a mistake at last.
Wish me luck!
