Okay, so I’ve been messing around with table tennis paddles lately, specifically the Killerspin CT Rally and the STIGA Supreme (which a lot of people call the Coco CG1 online, I guess?). I wanted to see which one felt better for my kinda sloppy, mostly-for-fun style.

First Impressions
Out of the box, both looked pretty decent. The CT Rally is this bright blue color, which is kinda cool, and the CG1 is, you know, standard black rubber. I grabbed both and just started bouncing a ball on each.
The Bounce Test
Right away, I noticed a difference. The CT Rally felt… springier? Like the ball just popped off it easier. The CG1 was a bit deader, which isn’t bad, just different. I guess it’s supposed to give you more control, but honestly, I’m not good enough to really tell that at first.
Hitting Some Balls
Next, I got my buddy over to hit some balls with me. We’re both pretty casual players, so don’t expect any pro-level analysis here. We just smashed balls back and forth for like an hour.
- CT Rally: With this one, I felt like I could really whack the ball. It went fast, maybe a little too fast sometimes. I definitely sent a few flying off the table.
- CG1: This one felt more… contained? I didn’t feel like I was hitting as hard, but more of my shots actually landed on the table.
Playing a game
We just messed around, and i think i had a little more success, i guess, with the ct rally, but it is just for fun. So, maybe tomorrow, ill try again, but for today, the CT Rally just wins for being fun to hit with.
So, yeah, that’s my super scientific comparison of these two paddles. I’m still a beginner, so take all this with a grain of salt. I need more practice.
