Alright, so the other day I was thinking, “Man, I gotta rewatch some classic Kevin Costner baseball flicks!” So, I decided to make it a whole thing – a Kevin Costner baseball movie marathon. Here’s how it went down.

Getting Started: The Lineup
First, I needed to figure out which movies to include. Obviously, the big three came to mind:
- Bull Durham
- Field of Dreams
- For Love of the Game
I grabbed my DVDs – yep, I’m old school like that. Made sure I had them all.
Setting the Mood: Snacks and Such
Next up, snacks. You can’t have a movie marathon without proper supplies. I went with the classic baseball game vibe:
- Popcorn, obviously. And I loaded it up on butter and salt.
- Hot dogs. Gotta have hot dogs, it is just a baseball thing.
- And for beer, got a nice, cold six-pack.
Got the living room all set up, lights dimmed, phone on silent – the whole nine yards.
The Marathon: Play Ball!
I dove right in. Started with Bull Durham, because, you know, it’s hilarious and a great way to kick things off. The chemistry between Costner, Sarandon, and Robbins is just perfect. Still cracks me up after all these years!
Then I went onto Field of Dreams. Gets me every time,I get a bit teary-eyed, not gonna lie. “If you build it, he will come”… chills, man, chills.
Finally, I finished up with For Love of the Game. It’s a bit more of a slow burn, but I love the story, the flashbacks, and Costner’s performance as an aging pitcher.
The Aftermath: Feeling Good
By the end of it all, I was feeling pretty good. It was a great escape, reliving those classic movie moments. It’s amazing how these films still hold up after all these years. Costner really nailed that baseball player persona, you know? Made me wanna grab a glove and head to the nearest field, even though I’d probably pull a hamstring just thinking about it.

So yeah, that was my Kevin Costner baseball movie marathon. Highly recommend it if you’re looking for a fun, nostalgic trip down memory lane. Just don’t forget the hot dogs!
