Okay, so I finally checked out that mini golf place in Daly City everyone’s been talking about. You know, the one near the mall? Yeah, that’s the one.

First, I grabbed my buddy, Mark. We’re both pretty competitive, so mini golf seemed like a solid way to spend a Saturday afternoon without, you know, actually having to be athletic.
We drove over there, and parking was surprisingly easy. It’s a big lot, so no circling around forever like some places. Bonus points right off the bat.
Getting Started
- We walked in, and it was pretty busy, but not overwhelmingly so.
- We headed straight to the counter and paid for a round.
- They gave us each a putter and a brightly colored ball. Mark got blue, I got green. Classic.
The course itself? Pretty fun! It’s got all the usual stuff: windmills, loop-de-loops, a few tricky water hazards (which, thankfully, we both avoided). It wasn’t super challenging, but that’s kind of the point of mini golf, right? It’s more about having a laugh than showing off your putting skills.
We went through the course, keeping score… sort of. I mean, we’re not pros, so a few strokes here and there might have mysteriously disappeared. Don’t judge.
There were a couple of bottlenecks at a few holes, where we had to wait a bit for the groups ahead of us. No big deal, gave us time to trash talk each other’s putting stances.
Wrapping Up
After about an hour, we finished the 18th hole. I won’t say who won (it was me), but let’s just say Mark owes me a beer next time.
We returned our clubs and balls, and grabbed some ice cream from the snack bar on the way out. Because what’s mini golf without a little sugar rush afterward?
Overall, a solid afternoon. Would I go back? Definitely. It’s a fun, cheap way to kill some time, and honestly, who doesn’t love a good windmill hole?
